Extracurricular: Directing in the rehearsal room with Kash Arshad

Extracurricular is a series of sessions which will give you the opportunity to learn more about different jobs in the arts, sharing of artistic pathways, journeys and resources.

Kash Arshad is a freelance theatre director and Co-Artistic Director of Rogue Bones Theatre Company.
His session will include:

  • Directing in the rehearsal room
  • Importance of team work
  • The relationship between actor and director

Kash Arshad is a theatre director based in Halifax. He was previously a Trainee Artistic Director at Freedom Studios in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Also, Kash has spent 15 years working as an actor for companies such as Freedom Studios, Citizens Theatre, GW Theatre and Channel 4.

His recent directing credits include: Guards at the Taj (Theatre by the Lake), Black Teeth and a Brilliant Smile and BD Stories (Freedom Studios), Airplays (Leeds Playhouse) and Memories of Partition (Royal Exchange, Manchester).

This session will be relaxed and informative throughout so you’ll be able to ask as many questions as you like, get to know Kash and hopefully pick up some new ideas that you might want to try out now or in the future.
