Vick Bain, the creator of the F-List, is an advocate and campaigner for equality and diversity in the music industry with over 25 years of experience in the sector.

Extracurricular: Advocating for Womxn In Music with Vick Bain will see Vick sharing her career journey, giving advice and tips towards success and maintaining an authentic and fulfilling career as a womxn in music, and tips for work-life balance, building confidence and how to network efficiently.

Vick will share diversity statistics from across the music industry, including creative and executive roles, and a few reasons why we see womenx still face barriers. In addition, she will cover why it is essential for us to address the gender imbalance in the music scene and why positive initiatives, such as The F-List, are making a difference.

Vick Bain

Vick Bain is the former CEO of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors and a Henley Business School MBA graduate with 25 years experience in music and the creative industries. 

She is currently the President-Elect of the Incorporated Society of Musicians, Trustee of Parents & Carers in Performing Arts, Board director of Delic, and PhD researcher of women’s careers in music at Queen Mary University.

Vick is the author of Counting the Music Industry and Founder of The F-List.
