Music scenes grow from passionate people involved in music who want to start their own events and music nights. We want to encourage and support you to create something when you see an opportunity and bring your ideas to life. To help you do this, we have asked Dean Freeman to deliver Extracurricular: Putting on your Music Event.
Dean is the founder of Long Division Festival and is an excellent example of somebody who has built an organisation with a legacy that brings invaluable jobs and opportunities and has generated close to 1 million pounds for the local economy in Wakefield. He has won awards and put on 1000’s live music shows.
Dean will be sharing experiences and inspirational stories from his career. You will also get some practical advice: on things such as the logistics behind putting on a music event, how to communicate with venues, why partnerships can be essential and what makes a successful night. You’ll get the opportunity to ask questions at the end. We hope you leave this Extracurricular informed and inspired to direct your passion into starting your music event.
Extracurricular: Putting on your Music Event is for
1) Gigging musicians and bands
