Join our Board

Sunday 6 October at 11 PM

We're excited to be expanding our brilliant Board! We are seeking someone with strong finance experience to support the running and ongoing vision of Bradford Producing Hub.

BPH was established in 2019 as an Arts Council England funded pilot project with the University of Bradford as its accountable body. In March 2023, BPH was constituted as a not-for-profit Company Limited by Guarantee and since November 2023, BPH has been operating as an independent organisation.

We are seeking a Board Member with finance expertise to join the BPH Board on a voluntary basis. It is an exciting time of growth and development for Bradford and BPH Board Members have a major role to play in the future of the company and the district.

Head to Meet the Team to read more about our current Board Members.

Who we are looking for

We’re seeking an experienced finance professional to join our diverse and talented Board.

Board experience isn’t essential as training will be provided during the induction. You don’t need to live in Bradford – we just ask that you love what we do and can visit us for in-person meetings.

Having delivered an audit of our current Board Members’ skills and experience, the Board is now looking to recruit a new member with strong finance experience.

We particularly welcome applications from individuals with knowledge and experience in:

  • Charity Accounting and treatment of grant funding, including restricted funds
  • Financial statements and reporting, including management accounts and annual accounts
  • Managing budgets of up to £750,000 – £1,000,000
  • VAT, Tax and compliance

We’re committed to maintaining a Board that reflects the demographic of the Bradford district and the nation. We therefore welcome applications from people of any age and background.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to meet with our Board’s Co-Chairs and observe our upcoming Board meeting on Tuesday 22 October 2024. We expect the successful applicant will formally join the Board in January 2025.

Why become a Board Member?

As a Board Member, you have a valuable role in supporting and shaping the work and strategic direction of BPH, and making a difference in an organisation that matters to you.

While the role is unpaid, we cover expenses and provide a role that offers valuable non-executive directorial experience which includes:

  • Professional skills development contributing to career enhancement
  • Personal fulfilment through volunteering your time and expertise to an organisation you value, supporting it to realise its goals
  • Expanding your professional network whilst working with like-minded people to support the creative and cultural sector in Bradford
