DYT strive to create non-hierarchical spaces, where the collective is encouraged to share moments of inspiration and creation. They work collaboratively as an ensemble where ideas are welcome and nurture a space where people feel safe to express themselves freely. DYT begin and ends each day with check-ins, warm-ups and grounding exercises to help balance the nervous system and co-regulate with each other. They also welcome members of the community to collaborate in their work. (This will be on Tuesday 1 October).
If you need support with completing the form, or you need to submit your expression of interest another way, please drop us an email at hello@bdproducinghub.co.uk
The show explores themes of death and dying which some people may find challenging. All of DYT’s work includes bespoke trauma-conscious exercises and processes, to ensure everyone in the room is as supported as possible.
The venue was previously a supermarket which has now been converted into a small studio. There is an open rehearsal space where most of the work will take place. There is a seating area on one side of the space for meetings, lunchtime, or as a space for timeout if people need a break at any time from the main area.

The venue has one step at the entrance and one toilet which is not a disabled access toilet. There is access to a kettle, a microwave and a fridge.
About Displace Yourself Theatre
Displace Yourself Theatre’s mission is to create exciting, accessible and original theatre that motivates audiences to be active in promoting equality for every member of our society, without exception. At the heart of all their shows beats a thorough and intimate process of co-creation, working closely and sensitively with people who have direct experience of the themes and ideas we are exploring, and providing a platform for these communities to use theatre to have their voices heard.
All their work is devised with an inclination towards physical theatre — often using fragments of images and text, woven together by original sound scores and an embodied movement language.
DYT’s work is experiential and anyone wanting to gain an understanding of their process and how they work, are encouraged to come with an open mind and be ready to get stuck in!
