About the show

Hansel and Gretel are siblings that just can’t seem to get along. They argue about everything: who’s the loudest, who’s the fastest, who’s the smartest, who’s Mum’s favourite, and who gets the most Christmas presents?! So when they wake up lost and confused in the heart of the enchanted forest one snowy December 24th, it’s no surprise they even disagree about how they came to be there! But with only a trail of breadcrumbs to guide them home, they’ll have to put aside their differences once and for all to solve the mystery of how they got there and make it home in time for Christmas Day.

The successful participant can join Wrongsemble on any 3 days between Monday 4 and Friday 22 November 2024. To help you choose the best dates for you, see Wrongsemble’s rehearsal schedule below:

Each Tuesday, they will be joined by puppetry artist Kathleen Yore.

Each Friday, they will recap with a stagger through of everything they’ve done that week.

There will be a full runthrough on Friday 22 November.

Please be aware that there is no step free access to the rehearsal room and participants will need to use a flight of stairs.

To make the registration simple and the selection process fair, we will be allocating places through a ballot.

How the ballot process works:

  1. You enter the ballot via a simple form hosted on the individual placement page
  2. After the deadline, we enter all eligible registrations into a ballot
  3. We select a participant through a random selection process
  4. We inform all applicants of the outcome the week following the closing date

We will pay everyone a bursary of £75 per day to participate in this placement, a total of £225 for the 3 days.

We will also reimburse any travel costs so please keep your receipts. For placements outside of Bradford, we can pre-book trains in advance on your behalf.

If you require financial support towards access costs, we will send you a form to detail these requirements on your offer of a place. Access costs might include childcare or other caring costs, interpretation costs such as BSL or other language support, access worker costs, or other access costs.

If you have an access rider, you’re welcome to send this to us when you apply – you can email this to hello@bdproducinghub.co.uk

If you need support with completing the form, or you need to submit your expression of interest another way, please drop us an email at hello@bdproducinghub.co.uk
