Fantastic news that Arts Council England has reopened its Developing Your Creative Practice funding, with a significantly increased budget. DYCP offers up to £10k for individual creatives to, well, develop their practice! 1st deadline will be 5 November and it’s open to anyone with at least 1 year of experience outside of education. You can see the full guidance here. Or download a PDF version here.
We think there are a lot of artists and creatives in Bradford that can benefit from this fund. To help with that, we are delighted to have confirmed a session with Hannah Bentley from Arts Council England to tell people more about the programme and answer your questions. British Sign Language is provided by Lizzie Wharton in order to make this session accessible.
The session with Hannah will take place on Tuesday 20 October from 1 pm – 2 pm. We are also bringing on board producer Jenny Sullivan to provide direct support to Bradford’s creatives who want to apply. After the session with Hannah, you can also book a slot with Jenny over the next few weeks to get advice on things like; what to apply for or how to write your budget. Jenny can also read-over and give you feedback on your applications. Jenny won’t be able to write your application for you (sadly!), but if you need additional help writing your application due to access reasons Mind The Gap is an official ACE partner and they can provide further support.
