About the National Lottery Heritage Fund

Using money raised by National Lottery players, The National Lottery Heritage Fund distribute grants from £10,000 to £ 10 million to support projects across the UK that connect people and communities to their heritage They also distribute heritage funding on behalf of the UK and devolved governments.

Heritage can be anything from the past that you value and want to pass on to future generations. Understanding, valuing and sharing our heritage brings people together, inspires pride in place and supports local economies.

Since they were established in 1994, they have awarded £ 9.2 billion of National Lottery and other funding to more than 52,000 projects across the UK.

In addition, they provide leadership and support across the heritage sector and advocate for heritage.

We don’t provide bursaries to attend our information webinars, as we can provide a recording to watch at a convenient time. 

Yes, we can cover any other access costs that may otherwise present a barrier to you being able to participate in the activity. Access costs include things like childcare and other caring costs; BSL, language and other interpretation costs; as well as access support workers, or any other access costs you might face.
