LIVE Yorkshire 2022/23 LIVE Bradford – Open Call

Bradford Producing Hub (BPH) is delighted to support Barrel Organ and their first event of LIVE Yorkshire 2022/23 LIVE Bradford, a programme of support for emerging, underrepresented artists*.

What is LIVE Yorkshire 2022/23 LIVE Bradford, and how can you get involved?

LIVE Bradford is a presentation of daring works-in-progress and new work, giving creatives and artists in Bradford, West Yorkshire and nationally a chance to test new material before a live audience. The aim is to offer a platform and a chance for constructive and beneficial criticism. Barrel Organ is looking for daring, experimental and inclusive work that tackles a wide range of issues, agendas and ideas.

The opportunity is available for five artists or companies to be supported to develop and test up to 20 minutes of material in front of a live audience. LIVE Bradford will be delivered in a hybrid digital-live format. There will be three slots for in-person performances from artists/groups living or based within Bradford and West Yorkshire and two slots for digital performances from anywhere across the country.

Barrel Organ provides £500 of support towards the costs for each artist/group plus round table discussions and in-kind mentoring support, to be confirmed in conversation with each artist/company.

Application deadline:  25 August at 5pm. If you have any particular requirements which will support your application, please email Barrel Organ at info@barrelorgantheatre.co.uk or call Ali on 07894240982.
