Calling all South, Central and Western Asian singers and musicians who are based in Bradford!
Join us for an informal discussion about the Asian music scene in Bradford, hosted by British Asian singer-songwriter and progressive folk artist Satnam Galsian.
We will be holding two sessions, our first session will be in person at Assembly on Friday 26 September 10.30AM – 12.30PM. Our second session will be held online via zoom on the Saturday 27 September 10.30PM – 12.30PM
These sessions aim to bring people together to pool experiences, ideas, resources, opportunities and needs in support of the ongoing growth of the sector and individual careers.
During the session, we will discuss what it’s like to make, share, perform, and platform Asian music in Bradford, and learn more about:
- What’s great
- What’s challenging
- What feels impossible
- What support is missing
These conversations will inform our understanding of what’s needed in the Asian music scene in Bradford and inform our research on how we can help plug the gaps, create more opportunities, and contribute to a thriving Asian music scene across the District. Through these sessions, we hope you’ll gain increased connectivity and networks, shared learning and access to a report that shares findings and acts as an advocacy tool for you and the sector to use.
