Calling all creative freelancers of Bradford (and those who hire them!) - come play in a game night with a difference 🔥

Join The Uncultured for a relaxed, cosy board game night where you get to play their new artwork, Frazzled Freelancers, meet new people and have a laugh, in what feels like a never-ending January – and after a very busy 2025.

After years of researching and experiencing freelancer precarity and burnout, The Uncultured have stepped out from behind their spreadsheets to design Frazzled Freelancers. This artwork, cleverly disguised as a board game, is a comical (and unfortunately accurate) take on freelance life and all its curveballs.

Come on your own or bring a friend, and hopefully we’ll all leave feeling a little less frazzled.

Some refreshments will be available, but they’ll be mostly for comedic purposes, so eat your tea before you come if you’re hungry.

This event, hosted by The Uncultured, is supported by Bradford Producing Hub and Arts Council England.

About the hosts

The Uncultured

The Uncultured are arts independents Ash Bowmott and Laura Sweeney. They work together to produce, curate, facilitate and advocate. Their shared focus is on artist and arts worker development, believing career sustainability in our sector is in crisis, and this structural failure needs to be attended to by everyone working within it. Each area of their practice, from fundraising to creating free-to-access sector resources, is part of their work towards better, more equitable working conditions in the arts.
