New Queers on the Block artists announced!

Out OUT performance

Back in June, we launched a New Queers on the Block commission of £3k to develop and deliver an event which centres the LGBTQIA+ community in Bradford. We’re thrilled to announce that the commission has been awarded to Alice Parsons and Em Connor for OUT OUT.

OUT OUT is a cabaret and a catalyst for drag artists in Bradford. As well as platforming Drag Kings and alternative drag performers, OUT OUT will support the creation of new work from both first-timers and established local Kings, in combination with bringing experienced performers to Bradford for an unforgettable showcase and celebration of Queer talent.

Alice and Em bonded over a passion for Bradford’s DIY scene and a desire to see more queer nightlife in the city.

"We are so excited to be supported by New Queers on the Block and Bradford Producing Hub to produce OUT OUT. We know there is appetite and talent in Bradford and this support means we can showcase that and properly shout about our scene and city whilst getting more people performing as drag kings in the process."
