In Person Production Management Training with Ben Pugh

Share

Led by expert Production Manager Ben Pugh, these two days of training are designed to build your technical know-how and provide a basic foundation in lighting, sound and projection. They are designed for people who are new to production management or haven’t done formal training in this area.

The training will be a mixture of instruction, demonstration and lots of practical hands-on work so that you can safely test things out, get to grips with a range of equipment and put your learning into practice at Mind the Gap Studios.

We have a very limited number of places, registration deadline is 10am on Monday 30 August.  When you sign up we will ask you for a bit of information about you and what you would like to get out of the training – this will help us decide who to offer places to if we have more people than we can accommodate.

Further Information

Do I have to attend both days?

Yes, you have to be available and attend on both days.

Is there the option to do this online?

Unfortunately the hands on nature of this training means that we can’t offer an online option. However, if you would like to learn more about Technical and Production Management, we can share the recordings of all the online sessions – which cover a whole host of important areas, with nearly 20 hours of learning/content that you can watch anytime. Email hello@bdproducinghub.co.uk if you would like access to this.

Do I have to do any work in advance of the days?

Yes, before each day we will ask you to watch a couple of videos from the online training we ran last year, that will lay important foundations for each day. It is essential that you watch these, if not you may not be able to take part.

Bursaries, Access Costs and Travel

We can provide bursaries, access and travel costs to enable you to attend our sessions. Please let us know in the registration form.

Bursaries are a contribution towards your time to help you attend when you might otherwise be working. You can claim £50 per day.

Access Costs are for additional costs you have to pay to enable you to attend, things that other people might not have to cover, such as disability support, translation, or childcare. If you have any access needs to take part, please get in touch straight away to tell us what you need and we will do our best to support you.

Travel Costs are to help you with the costs of travel to our events, using public transport. We do not means-test or ask you to prove that you need this financial support, but we need to agree in advance what costs we will cover (wherever possible), and will ask you to provide receipts to claim costs back from us. We can reimburse your travel costs for the sessions on standard class public transport (bus or train) – you will have to provide us with a receipt, so please keep hold of this. If you need to take a taxi, please get in touch with us as we’ll need to approve this in advance.
