Introduction to Fundraising aims to increase fundraising knowledge for the live arts sector in Bradford. Throughout March and April Bradford Producing Hub (BPH) will host free fundraising sessions for artists and small companies, followed by tailored support for your own projects. Introduction to Fundraising will help you to develop an understanding of how different artists and companies have approached fundraising and will support you to find new ways to raise money for your creative projects.

Funding Surgeries and Working Together
The final session of Introduction to Fundraising will be focused on developing a collaborative approach to fundraising in Bradford. We know how challenging it can be working on a plan to raise money for creative projects by yourself, therefore we are planning an interactive session on 26 April from 4pm to 5pm with Creative Instigator Shazia Bibi to discuss the different fundraising models and what fundraising framework might suit your projects.
In the following 12 months, expert fundraiser Anna Scrine , Jess Boyes and the fundraising team from University of Bradford will be providing 4 surgeries for artists to come together and work on strategies for a particular type of fundraising or writing specific applications. These surgeries are designed for a small number of people who have already done some thinking around a particular approach so we can actively plan and problem-solve together. There will be an opportunity to speak to an expert prior to the surgeries for some preparation. Further information about this will be provided.
Access and Support
How to Join
BPH can help with any access or support needs such as, BSL interpretation, childcare, online costs. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can arrange a chat about how best to support you. We also have a limited number of bursaries of £50 per session for people based in Bradford – these are to support people who might not be able to take part without financial help. There is a section on the online registration form where you can tell us if you require this.
You can sign up for as many of the Introduction to Fundraising sessions as you like. However, we expect there will be a lot of demand for the fundraising surgeries, so will prioritise people who have attended all sessions.
