Bio

Frances Murphy manages marketing and communications at BPH and supports audience development and evaluation. Fran also provides wraparound marketing support to artists supported by the BPH programme.

“I love working for BPH, the pace is fast but the work is so worthwhile! I’m usually found beavering away in the background sharing all the incredible work and opportunities that we offer. The highlight of my role is attending our events, meeting all the brilliant creatives of Bradford and finding out what they’re working on. I loved being part of the production of the Make the Change artist film, Held by the Wind. I’ve met so many brilliant people through BPH and it’s incredibly rewarding to see them all taking amazing creative leaps.”

Before joining BPH, Fran worked as a Marketing Manager at the University of the Arts London, and Marketing Insights Officer at the Royal Armouries. Fran is also a Creative Producer working with Project Farsley who, amongst other projects, brought the forthcoming community mural to Farsley, Leeds. She is also a freelance arts marketing manager.

“It’s such an exciting time to be in Bradford. I’m a Leeds lass and I’ve absolutely loved getting to know my neighbouring city since joining BPH in 2022. Bradford is such a creative district with some truly unique work being created by people from all kinds of communities. I’m not sure there are many places where you can catch cricket and climate-infused south asian dance, drag kings, lantern parades, 5-star plays performed in pawnbrokers, and mosher discos in social clubs.”
