Meet Board Member, David Glanville who is also Head of Communications & Marketing, City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council.

What attracted you to become a Board Member of Bradford Producing Hub?

BPH is an exciting organisation at a crucial point in its evolution and development. It’s building capacity and experience in Bradford’s arts and cultural sector and I wanted to use my experience and skills to support that. The leadership team at BPH are clearly passionate about what they do, and the direction they’re going in, and it’s great to be able to share some of their journey and help them get to where they want to go!

What experience do you bring to the role?

15+ years working in communications and marketing across the public and private sectors at a senior level, establishing and developing partnerships and team development, and 10 years working in operational roles in the retail industry. I was chair of the Yorkshire & Lincolnshire CIPR committee for four years, and am still part of the committee, putting on CPD training events for our members and helping to support the PR industry.

What excites you about the role?

The opportunity that being UK City of Culture 2025 will bring to the district and how that will spark growth across an already thriving cultural sector, and beyond! And seeing what the people of Bradford make of that.
